Patient's Request

The patient came in complaining of hooded skin on the upper eyelids, which gave her a “heavy” look and made her face appear tired. Her main wish was to remove the drooping fold, smooth the upper eyelid skin and regain a fresh look while keeping her natural facial expressions and anatomical proportions.

Diagnosis and Surgical Plan

During the initial examination, the surgeon assessed the tone and elasticity of the upper eyelid skin, the depth of the natural crease and the symmetry of the brows. Based on this assessment, a personal treatment plan was developed:

  • Comprehensive pre-operative assessment and photo documentation from several angles;
  • Precise marking of the incision lines within the natural crease of the upper eyelid;
  • Delicate excision of excess upper eyelid skin;
  • Correction of the musculo-aponeurotic layer where needed to create a well-defined crease;
  • Microsurgical cosmetic sutures hidden in the natural eyelid crease;
  • Recovery monitoring and post-operative follow-ups.

Result

After the recovery period, the upper eyelid area healed completely. The eyes look open and light, and the traces of surgery are invisible to others.

  • Hooded skin above the eyes completely eliminated;
  • An expressive, open and rejuvenated look;
  • A well-defined, natural upper eyelid crease;
  • The scar is securely hidden in the natural skin fold and practically invisible;
  • The natural shape of the eyes preserved;
  • A long-lasting aesthetic result without any feeling of tightness.
